This picture turned out almost exactly like I had planned at about 4pm the day I took it. It was an unusually sunny, clear day here in Oxford and the sky was absolutely perfect for taking pictures. Unfortunately, I was stuck inside most of the day and didn’t get to take advantage of taking pictures around the city with blue skies in the background. As I was leaving the lab, I thought that there might be a good chance that the sunset would be a nice one, so I headed home to get my camera gear and check on the time that the sun sets. I raced up the hill in Headington to grab a spot along side several other people with tripods and SLRs. I probably took about 40 pictures, but it was fun experimenting with settings and watching the beautiful sunset. Once I got back it took about 5 min of photoshop magic to get what you see today.
