Another Arctic Tern, but this time instead of posing on a fencepost and calling out to people, this one took to the air for a more aggressive approach to defending its nest. In addition to flying around overhead, they also occasionally dive bombed people to peck them on top of the head. The guides on the island recommend wearing some sort of covering and waving your hand over your head to prevent them attacking you, but it didn’t matter. I got hit a bunch of times, including right after I snapped this shot.
