There has been some snow fall the past two weeks here in the UK, not much but enough to justify the amber-colored snow warning on the BBC. I was really looking forward to taking pictures of Oxford covered in snow, however the snow usually falls at night when it is dark and by the time I’m ready to take pictures when it is light most of the snow has melted. Well, fresh snow fell last night so I was determined to take some shots this morning. I raced across town to a familiar place in Raleigh Park to snap a few shots before my lab meeting this morning, becoming absolutely soaked and exhausted in the process trying to navigate wintery conditions by bike. The three-photo panorama above is an example of what I managed to capture. As always click on the image for a blown up version in your browser, definitely recommended. I have better winter shots but I couldn’t let all that effort this morning go to waste.
