After more than a month hiatus here at njbrideau.com, I’m happy to report that we are finally back and in action! During the down time a lot has happened, and we have so much to share – lets hope that I can make good on my resolution.
Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up. The summary word for the past four weeks would be: Change. And I’m not talking about the kind of change that Obama promised, I’m talking about actual change. Hopefully over the next few weeks I’ll give you a glimpse of how our lives have changed, the steps we have taken to minimize the effects, and what we like about our new home.
First things first, if you want a personal account of how things are here, and see our pale smiling faces, find us on skype. Now that we have internet at home, Chelsea and I will try to leave at least one of our computers on with skype running. We would love to hear you / see you / find out how life is back in the States. If you are new to skype, I really suggest you take a few minutes to read about it and download it for free. Search our usernames: cnbrideau or njbrideau or just shoot me an e-mail and I’ll help you find us.
Here is a Google Maps version of Oxford. If you would like our actual postal address, please let me know, for security reasons (more on that later) I don’t want it to be public information. Anyway, Oxford is surrounded by what they call the “ring roads” which you can clearly see in green above. What I have highlighted on the map is where we live now (A) and approximately where both Chelsea and I work (B). To give you some perspective, it is about a mile door to door. When it is light out, we can cut through the famous University Parks, seen below.
Stay tuned for more updates soon, I’ll leave you with a picture of Gato in one of his favorite spots (near a window and radiator).
I suppose some things never change.
Awwww good to see jolly ol’ England! MORE UPDATES PLEASE!!!!!
Oh and for the record my sister and Paul live very close to Iffley 🙂
